on property and taxes
Our unalienable rights,
which include life, liberty, and the
pursuit of happiness, constitute our right
of self-ownership. We each own ourselves,
including our knowledge, our skills,
our talents, and our time.
Our time is the measure of our lives.
When we trade time for money, we have the
same right to that money that we have to our life.
And we have the same right to anything we buy
with that money that we have to our life. Anyone
claiming a portion of our property is claiming a
portion of our life. The extent of their success
is the extent of our enslavement. Sanctity of
property is the mark of a free society.
Taxes are slavery by fractions.
Freedom requires
that we tolerate the taxes
necessary for a government
sufficient to secure our
individual rights,
and no more.
